Video: Reading the past
(Out of print. We hope to make sections available as downloads from this website.)
This video shows how John Fines starts KS1 and KS2 children on historical literacy. Working with first and second year children he shows observation and deduction skills using historical objects. With Year 3 children he helps them read a picture. Year 4 children disentangle a story and Year 6 children read a tough historical document and recreate it in drama.

Audio files
You can hear John Fines telling stories on the audio files which you can download from the Exeter University website John Fines
